Kids hyped up on cake

And finally....the trap!  This is our Leprechaun trap.  We set one every year hoping to catch a Leprechaun the night before St. Patrick's Day.  How can he resist the Hershey Kiss trail leading him to certain capture?  We haven't caught the little bugger yet.  He is not happy when we set the trap- Last year he flipped our couch and made a mess.  If we don't catch him this year we may have to set up a hidden camera.

St. Patricks Day Celebration

Today we are celebrating St. Patrick's Day.  We have pretty much an all day celebration on tap with different friends and family stopping by throughout the day.  Irish music is being pumped throughout the house (my iTunes Irish Playlist is below).  The day will conclude with an Irish Supper around 4.  On the menu (made by the best cook I know..Wendy).. is "Guinness Corned Beef" slow cooked in brown sugar and Guinness.  Boiled vegetables and Irish Soda bread.  (hey Wendy where's the Colcannon)?.  Of course there will be a Guinness or two and perhaps a little green American beer for those who can't handle the good stuff :-).   For those under 21 there will be a nice cake (supplied by Auntie Erin) with tons of white and green frosting..and maybe a hot dog or two?
UPDATE:  Erin will also be bringing Boxtys.
