I'M ALIVE!!

It's amazing how good a shower can make you feel! 

Yes, I've taken showers since Beckett has come home, but for some reason today's shower felt especially good.  It is probably due to the fact that I was able to get some much needed sleep last night.  Wendy without sleep is not a good combination.  Shaun watched Beckett for about three hours while I slept, and I remember crawling into bed and saying, "I love you bed" and then giggling to myself. 

I may be sleep deprived, but at least I smell good!

Tonights the Night

Wendy is 5 cm dialated. We are staying here until Beckett is born

Wendy is getting an exam to see if we are here to have a baby today. There are 2 tickets for admission. 1. Water break or 2. Something cervix related. I'll be back soon with the results.

Heading to the Hospital

We are going over to York hospital for a check-up.  If all looks good we will most likely stay there until the birth.  Hopefully I will still be able to send updates from my phone, it depends on coverage and rules at the hospital.

Caucus Update

WE VOTED!  When we were at the caucus  I appealed to the people in charge to allow us to vote due to our circumstances.  They said it was not possible.  We had to leave before the vote.  WELL we jost got a call from one of the people at the Caucus and they said they could take our vote over the phone.YES!  I love America.

Back from Caucus

Back from the caucus.  It was our first caucus and we didn't make it till the end to vote.  We gave it a shot.  Wendy had several contractions so we had to go.  We didn't know you had to wait until the end to vote.  The doors close at 2:30 and don't open again until 3:30 AND THEN the voting begins.
I couldn't explain the chaos we just experienced.  It was PACKED.  The parking lot was just about full and they were starting to BLOCK CARS IN! I am telling you another 5 minutes and we would have had to call an ambulance to get us out because our car would have been blocked in.. PHEW.

We gave it our best shot to take place in the Democratic process.  The forefathers would be happy with our effort. I will cast my vote here...NOT
On the Birthing front-the action has got the process humming again.  Since our return the contractions are steady at about 3:30 between.

UPDATE

Things are at a bit of a lull right now.....Shaun just made me walk around our cul-de-sac four times.  Hopefully it'll re-active things.  Now he's making me go to the Maine Caucus to vote.  The mid-wife said the lull is normal and to check back in about an hour or so.  -Wendy

Noon Update

Wendy is relaxing on the couch.  Contractions have subsided a bit.  They are running 7-8 minutes in between.

11:00am Update

Wendy spoke with the Midwife.  She told Wendy it was up to her when she wanted to go to the Hospital.  We have decided to stay at Home as long as we can.  Once the contractions become more regular we will head in.  (The contractions range from 1 minute between to 7-8 minutes between contractions).  We had a run of sub 2 minutes intervals which prompted the call to the midwife.

Below I will try to post more in depth updates.  Of course you may not see anything the rest of the day if Wendy changes her mind about these live updates( I am not about to mess with a woman giving birth).  Thankfully my sister will be in the room with us to help update.  This will all be done with my iPhone.
