Nap Time

A time honored K-Sea kid tradition was passed on today.  Today marked the first Father-Beckett nap.  Wendy  took Will and Mina to see Joelle's play so I grabbed Beckett and laid down for a nap.  To me there are few things better then a quick nap on a Saturday afternoon.  I managed to grab a photo of the special moment... he even gave me a sleep smile.  The best part of the nap is we have awaken to unsuspected beautiful weather.

HONK! Review by Foster's

HONK! is a delight thanks to Seacoast Rep

We're all peas in a pod,
…why must I be so odd?
Sit tight on your Lilly Pad,
It will pass, that silly fad.

Warts and all, the happy-go- lucky bullfrog sings his pearls of perspective. The ugly duckling in all of us is set free and the picky, plucky, barnyard status quo eats a little crow.

HONK! Presented by the Seacoast Repertory's Youth Mainstage (through April 20) is a delightful, colorful and meaningful musical comedy, perfect for children and their caretakers.

With stunning stagecraft, strong leads and professional direction, The Rep proves why it is the destination of choice for budding thespians and remains one of the best choices this spring for family theater.

It was good while it lasted

Well it hit the high 60's today and was beautiful.  But alas this is spring in Maine.  The good weather lasted a day and the outlook is downright gloomy.  Even the S-word.

TWO MONTHS OLD!

Today Beckett is two months old!  He weighs 10 lbs. 7.5 oz., 23" long and sleeps anywhere from 3 to 4 hour stretches at night.  He's very smiley now and will turn his head in the direction of a voice.

Happy Two Months Little Guy!!

"Damn Dirty Apes!"

Ramblings.....

  • Took Will and Mina to see Joelle in HONK! yesterday.  The play was great and Joelle did a great job.  It was also fun reading her "Cast Biography" in the program as well as seeing her picture in the lobby of the Rep.  If I sound like I am bragging..I AM

  • Josh Beckett takes to the hill today to stop the Sox Canadian Slump.  Speaking of Josh Beckett.... we picked up our framed original artwork by Chris Speakman who does Boston Sports themed WWII propaganda style prints.  In addition to the Beckett poster (which will hang in Becketts room) we also got one of KG and a Red Sox 2007 WS Champs set.  Both of which are in queue to be framed and hung in the basement.

  • The other "Sean Casey" made a terrible error in his first starting assignment with the Sox.

  • Last night we went out for Vietnamese food.  We had to travel to the "beautiful" city of Biddeford to get it.  We went to a restaurant called Que Hong.  Apart from the fact that I never thought I would ever be "scared"  in Maine ( I didn't know Maine had rough neighborhoods) the food was great.  There were several "healthy" selections and the service was excellent...I think...I can't really say I understood a word they said other than.."what he like"
  • By the way my weather prediction from Friday is panning out.  Note the upcoming temps are going down from the original prediction of 70 degree weather.  Don't worry I will nail this one.  It's a matter of time before they change those 60 degree predictions to upper 40's low 50's. (even cooler on the coast)... Sorry...

  • Finally a clam shell for anyone who can guess the significance of the post "Title".
